About The Position

This role is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. The Assistant Manager must set the example by following all policies and procedures 100% of the time and expecting the same from their crew. Key areas of responsibility include staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining perfect image and adherence to standards, providing great customer service, ensuring attendance and punctuality, managing store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to communicate and interact respectfully and effectively with people across cultures, abilities, genders, ethnicities, and races.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
  • Willingness to jump in and perform any job necessary.
  • Open availability.
  • Ability to work opening shifts and closing shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations during their shift.

  • Ensure staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, and food management are handled correctly.
  • Work to a schedule and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Maintain store cleanliness.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and profitability.
  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
