About The Position

Are you passionate about wine and delivering top-notch customer experiences? Vino Volo, a dynamic part of Paradies Lagardère, is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our team in creating unforgettable wine experiences in a vibrant airport setting. This role combines restaurant operations with cultivating sophisticated customer relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of college education
• 1-2 years' experience in management or as a wine sommelier in a reputable full-service restaurant, wine bar, or winery tasting room.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in retail POS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Must be at least 19 years old (legal drinking age in BC).
• Able to pass required background checks.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid Serving It Right certification or equivalent as per BC regulations.
• Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.

• Wine knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team to elevate customer experiences in our vibrant airport venue.
• Drive sales in wine, food, and merchandise, balancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Train and nurture staff in delivering Vino Volo’s exceptional service standards.
• Liaise across various management levels to ensure top-quality customer experiences.
• Promote a safe and respectful work environment, adhering to Alberta's workplace safety and harassment prevention regulations.
