This position requires a full-time commitment of at least 32 hours per week, which includes weekends and certain holidays. While we aim to provide scheduling flexibility, weekend availability is mandatory. Please note that we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. We're on the lookout for an Assistant Manager to join our awesome team. As the Assistant Manager, you'll play a crucial role in keeping our range facility running smoothly. You'll be rockin' the supervisory role, supporting our manager and staff, and making sure we've got the right people to handle business seasonality. Oh, and your attention to detail and commitment to being super efficient will keep us in line with ATF standards. This role is more than just a job, it is a career.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent curriculum.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a retail business, with at least one year in a leadership position.
  • Working knowledge of range operations, methods, and requirements.
  • Ability to obtain NRA Range Safety Officer certification, NRA Pistol Trainer certifications, and Red Cross First Aid certification.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience or training in the safe operation, storage, and troubleshooting of firearms.
  • Experience hiring and building strong retail teams
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Computer literacy.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise range operations, including scheduling and overseeing employees.
  • Provide training to staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Forms 4473 and regularly check forms and electronic records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring proper receipt and storage.
  • Maintain cash handling procedures and secure funds during opening and closing of the range.
  • Oversee facility maintenance activities, including regular cleaning and repair/replacement of equipment.
  • Manage inventory of office and janitorial supplies.
  • Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Enforce company policies and maintain quality standards.
  • Attend regular training sessions on ATF and OSHA compliance.
  • Work within the store budget regarding man-hours.
