As an Assistant Manager, you play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the community. You’ll help drive financial performance, ensure compliance, support leasing efforts, and deliver an exceptional resident experience—all while stepping in to lead when needed. This role combines operations, customer service, financial responsibility, and team support in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Financial awareness, including rent collections and reporting
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with sound judgment
  • Leadership ability and willingness to take initiative
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing and regulatory compliance
  • Tech-savvy (Microsoft Office; property management software such as Yardi a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • Leasing or property management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, professional communication with residents and prospects
  • Address concerns and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Support resident retention initiatives and community engagement
  • Assist with property tours, follow-ups, and application processing
  • Support leasing efforts to maintain occupancy goals
  • Ensure accurate and compliant leasing documentation
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and outreach efforts
  • Support daily property operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and community standards
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and market-ready property
  • Coordinate with vendors and monitor service quality
  • Assist with rent collection and follow up on delinquent
  • Help track performance metrics and support reporting
  • Support occupancy, revenue, and expense control goals
  • Assist in supervising on-site staff and providing guidance as needed
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
  • Support team scheduling and coverage to maintain smooth operation
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and all applicable regulations
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation
  • Support office organization and administrative processes
