About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, taking and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, cleaning equipment and the facility, and delivering product. This role requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, access to an insured vehicle, and the ability to pass a background check with open availability. Training and orientation are provided on the job. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to comprehend and give instructions, and the ability to train and lead. Essential functions include accurate and quick mathematical calculations, making correct monetary change, verbal and written communication skills, eye-hand coordination for rapid and accurate movements, computer/touch screen order entry, maintaining cost controls, and navigational skills for delivery. The work environment involves varying weather conditions, in-store temperature fluctuations, exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces and tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, differentiating hot and cold surfaces, and far/night vision for driving. Temperaments include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions.

  • Carry pizzas, sides, and beverages while performing walking and climbing duties during delivery

  • Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder
  • Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station
  • Stooping/bending is present at the front counter when stocking ingredients
