About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for everything that happens during their shift, including all cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. They must set the example and follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time, expecting the same from their crew. This role also involves staffing, paperwork, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining store image and adherence to standards, providing great customer service, ensuring attendance & punctuality, managing transportation to/from work, maintaining store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
  • Walking: Generally in short distances for short durations.
  • Sitting: Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Carrying: Ability to carry items such as large cans (3 lbs 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs).
  • Pushing: Ability to push trays on dollies (up to 7.5 pounds of force).
  • Climbing: Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist is necessary at the pizza assembly station, front counter, and when stocking ingredients.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Performed continuously; up, down, and forward.
  • Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination is essential. Use of hands is continuous. Shaping pizza dough requires frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists. Manipulate a pizza peel, rolling cutter. Frequent and/or forceful pinching for box assembly. Ability to grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
  • Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids: May be required to utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel.
  • Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
  • Walking: Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location.
  • Climbing: During delivery of product, navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required.
