The Assistant Manager is an hourly employee whose primary function is the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees, and to act as a representative to Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies. This role involves upholding and administering all theatre policies, training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management employees, and performing all staff positions as required. The Assistant Manager will also operate all projection and audio-visual equipment, maintain a working knowledge of booth and projection technology, ensure required alcohol certifications are current, and monitor risk management pertaining to the theatre. Ensuring guest satisfaction, managing financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with dress code are also key responsibilities. This position requires completion or progress in the management certification program and understanding of the ROM. The Assistant Manager, with oversight and consultation, may be involved in interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, counseling, suspending, and terminating employees. They will administer HR paperwork, control costs, supervise theatre maintenance, and manage marketing and promotions for film engagements, including scheduling show times. Training materials on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination must be understood. Additional duties may be assigned by the General Manager or other senior manager.
