About The Position

Jersey Mike’s Subs is seeking an Assistant Manager to help deliver high-quality subs and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, team-driven restaurant. The role supports daily restaurant operations and helps maintain a clean store, lead and train crew members, and provide a positive customer experience. The Assistant Manager may fill in for the Manager when needed and participates in management meetings and strategy sessions. Restaurants are independently owned and operated franchises; wages and benefits vary by franchisee.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old to operate the slicer.
Food Handler certification through Serve Safe.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to meet schedule requirements and perform reliably.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A desire to improve personal capabilities and skill sets.
Excellent menu and product knowledge.
Positive, personable personality and ability to work as a team player.
Understanding of accountability and integrity.

Nice To Haves

One year of quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others.
Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere and multitask with a sense of urgency.
Interact with customers and provide an exceptional experience.
Serve as a key holder and perform tasks related to opening and closing the store.
Bake bread and perform food preparation tasks.
Manage and lead a crew of 3 to 7 people.
Slice ingredients using the restaurant slicer.
Create employee schedules.
Place inventory orders.
Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed.
Assist with employee training.
Lead by example.
Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions.
Participate in Jersey Mike’s training programs.
