About The Position

Blarney Castle is a family-owned retail C-Store operation in Michigan, founded in 1933. With over 1,800 team members across the state, their purpose is to provide Super, Superior, Customer Service. The Assistant Store Manager is part of the leadership group responsible for coaching and inspiring the store team. Working closely with the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager helps develop team members and identifies future leaders. The role involves performing a majority of the store's work, including customer service, processing transactions, and responsibly selling alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of related retail experience.
  • Demonstrate an interactive leadership style.
  • Engaging customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and reach.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance are needed.

Nice To Haves

  • A combination of a few college credits and qualified work experience is helpful.
