This role involves the operation of all equipment, stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage/work area/walk-in cooler, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone and internet orders, counting inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job training includes customer service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. Customer service skills require the ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers over the phone and in person. Pizza Delivery skills involve the ability to safely drive one's own vehicle, navigate roads and maps, and handle adverse terrain and stairs of delivery sites while carrying products. Essential skills include the ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide to make correct monetary change, with the option to use a calculator.
