About The Position
Windsor is a fashion-forward retail company with a mission to help women feel beautiful. Founded in 1937 and family-owned, Windsor operates over 200 stores and an online shop, providing an 'Oasis experience' for customers seeking the perfect look for life's important moments. The Assistant Manager is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving store productivity goals, including sales, shrink, payroll, and expenses. This role involves coaching and motivating a team of fashion-loving Stylists while upholding company values and policies.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of retail management experience
- Proven leadership experience and an ability to develop and motivate a team of up to 25 employees
- Ability to think quickly and resolve issues as they arise with customers and associates
- Effective communication skills in both group settings and one-on-one
- Openness to feedback and a readiness to improve
Responsibilities
- Drive sales to ensure the overall success of the store.
- Act as the 'Host of the Party' to build brand loyalty by providing an omni channel Oasis experience to every customer.
- Provide feedback to improve efficiency and create value for the brand.
- Support the Store Manager in finding and retaining talent, making networking connections to ensure a wide talent pool.
- Ensure an exceptional onboarding experience that supports the store’s retention goals.
- Organize and plan in detail to execute daily operations and create the Oasis for customers.
- Partner with the Store Manager to supervise and conduct training with the team.
- Lead by example, communicate clearly, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through recognition, coaching, feedback, and utilizing company tools and programs.
- Uphold integrity by following all Windsor policy and procedures.
- Support the execution of the Windsor Merchandising Directive in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and tidy store in compliance with Windsor’s Visual Guidelines.
- Make smart merchandising decisions.
