Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry required.
  • Must have proven experience working with Commercial, Farm, & OTR tires.
  • Completion of high school diploma or GED.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to set goals and achieve results.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and team.
  • Organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize competing demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary diploma, degree, or certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience as an assistant manager, service writer or service manager is an asset.
  • Proven leadership ability and previous people management experience (recruitment/discipline) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure store success by providing professional leadership in all aspects of the business.
  • Focus on front counter customer service and sales utilizing previous automotive parts/service and wheel/tire experience.
  • Recommend vehicle service, provide service quotes, and receive customer authorization for work to be performed.
  • Share product knowledge and technical expertise to provide excellent customer service on the front counter.
  • Assist with the completion of an annual budget, including forecasting revenue and expenditures, and accurately tracking budget numbers with attention to achieving operational benchmarks.
  • Assist with the recruitment and development of a team of Associates dedicated to providing a superior customer experience.
  • Supervise and motivate associates to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts.
  • Assist in identifying and following up on outstanding accounts receivable/credit clients.
  • Ensure store associates have completed all assigned training, providing feedback and reinforcement as required.
  • Attentively handle customer complaints within a reasonable timeframe and maintain documentation of complaints and resolutions.
