About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Store Operations is responsible for overseeing daily retail operations, team leadership, and in-store execution across all retail outlets at Grouse Mountain. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing merchandising, maximizing sales performance, developing staff, and ensuring operational excellence across all retail outlets. Works closely with the Retail Manager, and Assistant Manager, Inventory & Purchasing, to achieve departmental KPIs and create memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail operations
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong customer service and team leadership skills
  • Proven ability to drive sales and team performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced retail environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and support physical inventory processes
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including opening, closing, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of all retail outlets, ensuring consistent execution, efficiency, and guest service excellence
  • Lead, coach, and develop Retail Supervisors, Key Holders, and Retail Associates
  • Drive a guest-first culture, handle guest concerns and feedback to maintain a high Net Promoter Score
  • Monitor and drive sales performance and department KPIs
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management of retail teams
  • Manage opening/closing procedures and daily operational coordination
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate with Inventory & Purchasing team to ensure product availability, deliver seasonal campaigns, and manage loss prevention systems
  • Ensure merchandising standards and in-store presentation align with brand expectations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
  • Complete administrative tasks including payroll, reporting, and daily logs
  • Foster a positive team culture aligned with company values
  • Support cross-department collaboration and communication
  • All other duties as assigned
