About The Position

Contributes to the overall success of the Physical Security / Corporate Security globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Supports the implementation efforts for projects related to physical security.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree, college diploma and/or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 3 years of security or relevant industry experience considered an asset
  • Designations: Valid PMP, Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation desirable.
  • Languages: High degree of fluency in English required; French/Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Supports the implementation of new initiatives delivered through the Bank’s Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF), ensuring alignment with governance standards, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for all CCure-related initiatives and inquiries, providing subject matter support for the Bank’s access control system, including enhancements, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Supports the effectiveness and cost efficiency of technology solutions by contributing to lifecycle management activities, including monitoring performance, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Maintains equipment standards and supports asset management databases to ensure consistent application of security technologies and equipment across the enterprise.
  • Builds a solid understanding of the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture and ensures these are considered in day-to-day activities and decision-making.
  • Actively supports effective and efficient operations within the team in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while contributing to the adequacy and effectiveness of business controls related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.

  • Adherence to assigned operational budget in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures to meet departmental objectives.
  • Generate forecasting of innovations expenditures including budgets for individual projects and programs.
  • Prepare Business Cases to clearly articulate capital/ongoing costs and any other salient financial (I.e., Cost benefit analysis) details required to assess widescale implementation.
