About The Position

Assistant Manager – The Tides Seafood Market & Provisions Location: Safety Harbor, FL Position Type: Assistant Manager (Full-Time) The Opportunity The Tides is a unique hybrid of a high-end seafood market and a premier full-service restaurant. We are a staple of the Safety Harbor community, known for our elite quality and local flavor. We are looking for an Assistant Manager who is a "floor general"—someone who thrives in the energy of a busy dining room but has the organizational chops to help run the business side. The Role: FOH Focus with a "Total House" Mindset This position is primarily Front-of-House (FOH) focused . You will lead the service team, engage with our regulars, and ensure the dining room runs like a clock. However, we believe the best leaders understand the whole ship. While your expertise is in the FOH, you will be trained on Back-of-House (BOH) basics to ensure you can support the entire operation. BOH experience is a major plus, but a willingness to learn is required.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a full-service restaurant environment.
  • Skillset: Strong FOH management skills and a professional, polished demeanor.
  • Reliability: A consistent, dependable leader who leads by example.
  • Location: Must be able to reliably commute to our Safety Harbor location.

Nice To Haves

  • BOH experience is a major plus
  • previous inventory experience is a big plus!
  • Efficiency: Experience with POS systems and inventory management is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Shift Leadership: Direct daily FOH operations, managing floor flow, seating, and guest transitions during high-volume service.
  • Team Development: Train, mentor, and hold staff accountable to our high standards of hospitality.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with tracking and managing our premium seafood and provisions (previous inventory experience is a big plus!).
  • Guest Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for guests, resolving any issues with grace and ensuring every visit is memorable.
  • Operational Support: Assist the GM with administrative tasks, including scheduling, cash handling, and maintaining health and safety protocols.
  • All-Hands Approach: Be ready to step behind the line or assist the market side during peak times after completing your BOH training.
