Assistant Manager, Product

CHANELNew York, NY

About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Product Costume Jewelry & Other Accessories, is a brand ambassador and emerging product expert who plays a vital supporting role within the Product Orchestration pillar. Working closely with the Manager, Product, this role is responsible for the hands-on execution that keeps the category engine running — gathering data, maintaining product accuracy, supporting the buy process, and ensuring day-to-day product movement is managed with precision. This role is where product fluency is built. The Assistant Manager develops deep category knowledge through daily immersion and learning how boutique-level insights connect to Home Office Merchandising decisions. Within their category, the Assistant Manager helps ensure that the spirit of each collection is understood and felt — from the accuracy of the data that supports the buy, to the way product is organized in the boutique. The Assistant Manager contributes to Fashion Advisor visibility on product by ensuring the accuracy and availability of the information that powers real-time storytelling — from delivery updates and SKU status to reserve tracking and product details that help FAs advise clients with confidence. This role also reinforces the principle of One Boutique, One Story — helping the team embrace that each boutique's assortment is intentionally curated and that every product in the boutique has a purpose and a place in the collection narrative. In doing so, this role supports bringing product to the center of retail from the ground up. This role reports to the Manager, Product [insert category] and may be dedicated to a specific sub-category within the PM's broader category scope.
