The Assistant Manager of Product Quality Control – Tyler (AMPQC) participates in and provides direction for all activities within the East and Central Texas PQC department(s). This includes performing testing and services associated with assigned departmental duties within the scope of complexity defined by accrediting agencies, as well as participating in competency, proficiency, and educational opportunities. The AMPQC contributes to educational activities such as tours, presentations, abstracts, and publications, while supporting mentoring, laboratory training, and competency evaluations. This position participates in critical document review and approval processes, error management, and process improvement initiatives. The AMPQC is also responsible for coordinating employee scheduling, providing employee counseling and resolution, offering technical guidance, managing workflow, and supporting goal setting and performance assessments. Additionally, the AMPQC exercises independent decision-making on matters impacting the East and Central Texas PQC department(s). The AMPQC exemplifies and champions Carter BloodCare (CBC) Core Values and Code of Conduct, and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To support ongoing development and organizational goals, the AMPQC is required to attend meetings and training sessions, as assigned. The AMPQC maintains active, current professional licensure and/or certifications as required by role-specific regulations and organizational requirements. Periodic travel between assigned work areas to support other locations/projects in CBC service regions is required. Exempt employees are expected to maintain availability beyond standard business hours when business needs arise. Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
