About The Position

The Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage is responsible for the overall management of all customer relationships and daily food and beverage operations of Manning's and Banquets.

Requirements

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
  • Knowledge of banquet services and sales.
  • Knowledge of food cost and labor analysis.
  • Ability to train and motivate personnel.
  • Ability to communicate well among staff both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Five years of experience in food service industry, minimum two years in Banquet/Catering function.
  • Must be mobile enough to move around entire property.
  • Must have visual and auditory range for immediate area to fulfill functions of job and communicate needs/requirements with others.
  • Must be able to respond calmly when handling guests and employee conflicts.
  • Must be able to speak, write, and understand English.
  • Must be able to stoop and bend, as well as lift up to 80 pounds, and push rolling carts up to 200 pounds.
  • Must be able to recognize and respond to individuals with questions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the execution and detailing of all banquet functions to ensure delivery of an exceptional customer service experience.
  • Monitors proper staffing levels in order to provide high standards of service.
  • Monitors appearance of food served and communicates deviations from standard.
  • Responsible for the administration of controls in all of the managed areas to ensure economical and profitable established standards are maintained.
  • Co-manages the Banquet Beverage Team in conjunction with the Beverage Department.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the Banquet Houseman and for the proper movement and set-up of all equipment needed.
  • Responsible for the creation and administering of S.O.Ps, Trainings, and Corrective Discipline
  • Assigns Daily Tasks to staff to ensure successful guest experiences
  • Counsels, guides and instructs personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
  • Maintains and instructs assigned personnel on safety policies and procedures and follows up to ensure that hazards are eliminated.
  • Prepares and coordinates the periodic performance reviews of assigned personnel.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars New Orleans.
