Position Goal Responsible for efficient day-to-day operations by properly maintaining the building, equipment, grounds and other physical assets of the organization, to include Terminal Cleaning of the Operating Rooms Position Responsibilities Meet with the System Director Facilities via text, phone or email each day to discuss special needs, problems and assignments. Complete all demand work requests and preventive maintenance work orders in a timely manner as assigned. Cleans the Surgical Center support areas daily. Terminal Cleans the Operating Rooms Daily per national standards. Meet with onsite leadership weekly to assure clinic and surgery center Maintenance and EVS needs are being met. Communicate with Infection Control as necessary to maintain surgical environment. Inspect building and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions or needed repair, making notes and recommendations. Manage Landscaping contract for location. Manage Environmental Services for location Maintain all appropriate satellite offices. Perform minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, light bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools. Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. repairing or replacing leaking pipes, faucets, drains, unclogging drains and toilets, trenching and laying new lines, replacing lines for ice makers, refrigerators and such appliances. Perform minor HVAC maintenance (e.g. replace filters, belts, clean coils, operate building management control systems, etc.) using appropriate hand, power or specialty tools. Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using a brush, roller or sprayer to apply paints, stains, varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, small wood working projects. Reconfigure, install, position and remount modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, cubicles, work surfaces, storage bins, cabinets, lighting, etc.) to accommodate user needs and utilize office space using various hands, power, specialty tools, hand trucks and dollies. Maintain appropriate equipment and records to ensure compliance with regulations imposed by such agencies as OSHA, CMS, State Health Dept., AAAHC, NFPA, etc. Perform the driving duties of Hughston fleet vehicles as assigned. Able to work flexible hours to ensure special projects, PMs, etc. are completed on an appropriate schedule. Enhance growth through departmental meetings and outside education programs. Assist in training new staff and existing staff (mentoring and coaching of staff). Provide guidance to vendors performing on site work.
