About The Position

Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing and Visitor Experience, the Assistant Manager of Email Marketing plays a key role in advancing The Frick Collection’s efforts to increase awareness, deepen engagement, and support institutional priorities through targeted email outreach. This position requires a strategic and creative thinker who can translate all aspects of the Frick’s activities into compelling digital storytelling. The Assistant Manager will oversee the strategy, planning, execution, and analysis of e-mail marketing communications for the museum and library, ensuring that content aligns and evolves with institutional goals and resonates with our audiences. This role works closely with the Assistant Manager of Marketing and Digital Content and shares responsibility for managing department interns.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience supporting, designing, and/or implementing email marketing strategy, preferably within a cultural institution, arts organization, or nonprofit.
  • In-depth knowledge and proven experience executing campaigns using email marketing software (Mailchimp, Constant Contact), proficient knowledge of HTML
  • Experience in A/B testing, audience segmentation, and analyzing performance data and making data-driven decisions. An understanding of Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Experience in project management. Excellent organizational skills and an ability to multitask and prioritize projects.·
  • Familiarity with The Frick Collection’s branding and the ability to uphold its visual and editorial standards.
  • Experience with CRM and handling sensitive data is strongly prefer
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign), and basic CSS (for email building).
  • Superb communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Creative writer and problem solver.
  • A strong eye for design. Experience working closely with editorial, designers, photographers, or producers is a plus.
  • A team player who can effectively collaborate with approximately 25 different stakeholders from across the institution.

  • An understanding of Google Analytics is a plus.

  • Paid Holidays: Full-time employees are eligible for 14 paid holidays, all federal holidays including Juneteenth, and Election Day and four floating holidays: two may be used in the first half of the calendar year, two may be used in the second half of the calendar year.
