Reporting directly to the VP of Ecommerce within the Marketing department, the Email Marketing Manager is responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders across Consumer, Trade, and Wholesale/B2B teams. Duties include developing and executing email marketing strategies, creating and optimizing automated and batch campaigns, supporting revenue growth with segmentation and targeting efforts, and enhancing customer engagement through performance analysis and continual program optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in email marketing, CRM, or digital marketing roles is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Proficiency with email marketing platforms, especially Bloomreach and strong knowledge of email best practices, including deliverability, segmentation, personalization, and automation
  • Familiarity with CRM data analysis, customer segmentation, and audience insights to support targeted campaign strategies
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, workflows, and campaign optimization (ie: Workfront, Bloomreach, Retention.com, etc)
  • Strong writing skills to ensure clear, engaging, and brand‑aligned email copy
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance metrics and apply insights to improve results
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in content and flawless execution of campaigns
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional partners and external agencies
  • Ability to achieve results both independently and through teamwork, fostering cooperation across teams
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, early mornings, and late evenings
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with internal stakeholders, develop and implement email marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall marketing objectives. Devise separate strategies for each major customer segment (Consumer, Trade and Wholesale/B2B) with potential for sub-segment and customer-level as well as batch/bulk and triggered strategies and messaging.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (and agencies or outside partners, as needed) to develop email marketing calendars and ensure timely execution of campaigns.
  • Recommend engaging campaigns to drive retention and revenue growth and to meet channel objectives. Work with marketing and ecommerce teams on strategies to increase email signup and opt-in across segments to grow each list.
  • Manage the end-to-end campaign process, including sourcing content from appropriate internal teams, maintaining a view of the design, approval and testing process and deploying emails.
  • Tailor content and messages to various customer segments, ensuring maximum engagement and conversion rates and low unsubscribe rates. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and optimize behavioral-based, personalized trigger/automated campaigns.
  • Maintain reporting to understand and share what types of content, journeys and messaging drive signup, open rates, clickthrough rates, conversion and revenue.
  • Continuously optimize campaigns through A/B testing, analyzing performance metrics and implementing data-driven insights.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends in email marketing.
  • Collaborate with the technology team as needed to review, implement and launch new technical capabilities that touch email marketing.
