About The Position

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor in The El Paso, TX location. As a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, you will lead manufacturing engineering operations and continuous improvement initiatives to drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance across the facility. You will provide technical and people leadership while ensuring manufacturing processes, systems, and resources support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with experience leading process improvement and engineering initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, capacity planning, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in manufacturing process optimization, productivity improvement, and operational performance management.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team development abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technical professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, performance management, and technical guidance.
  • Drive manufacturing performance by monitoring and improving key operational metrics, including OEE, throughput, cycle time, productivity, and lead time.
  • Champion the implementation of Schneider Performance System (SPS), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute productivity improvement plans that deliver measurable gains in cost, quality, safety, and delivery performance.
  • Lead manufacturing process design, optimization, and continuous improvement activities, including ergonomics, workflow analysis, line balancing, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure manufacturing capacity is aligned with business requirements through effective capacity planning, workforce planning, and utilization of capacity management tools.
  • Conduct process simulations, workflow studies, and queue analyses to improve production flow, reduce bottlenecks, optimize lead times, and maximize line performance.
  • Establish and maintain standard work, labor standards, and operating times using industrial engineering methodologies such as MTM, work measurement, time studies, and video analysis.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement capital investments, automation solutions, and process improvements that support business growth and operational excellence.
  • Lead major manufacturing, industrialization, automation, and productivity projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and business objectives are achieved.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Product Engineering teams to ensure manufacturability, efficient production flow, and successful project implementation.
  • Provide manufacturing and logistics expertise during new product introductions, facility expansions, and production volume changes to optimize operational performance and costs.
  • Manage departmental resources, project priorities, and budgets while supporting strategic business goals.
  • Serve as the manufacturing engineering subject matter expert in process design, ergonomics, capacity planning, simulation modeling, cost analysis, automation, and operational performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing initiatives that improve manufacturing efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall plant performance.
