We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role involves assisting with store functions and day-to-day store activities, helping customers in a positive and approachable manner, and addressing their questions or concerns. The Assistant Manager will also help organize and transfer merchandise, ensure seasonal areas are maintained, and perform opening and closing procedures as needed. Responsibilities include processing corporate directives, maintaining promotional displays, assisting with merchandise ordering, processing damaged goods, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits/receipts), and loss prevention. The position requires maintaining store areas to company standards, protecting company assets, adhering to safety guidelines, and ensuring all store associates follow policies. The Assistant Manager will also help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment. Maintaining store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash, is also a key duty. As a manager, you may be required to provide background information for specialized licenses to sell alcoholic beverages/tobacco products, with failure to comply potentially leading to demotion or separation of employment.
