Assistant Manager, Fulfillment Operations - Day Shift
About The Position
Babylist is hiring an Assistant Manager, Fulfillment Operations for the Day Shift at our fulfillment center in Commercial Point, Ohio. This is a hands-on floor leadership role focused on the day-shift operation, with direct ownership across kitting, picking, packing, SLUs, and drivers. The role is part of the company's investment in its growing fulfillment center. The Assistant Manager will lead the floor across all five workflows, coach a team, roll out new processes, and ensure the high-volume shift operates at its best. This position will support the management of 60+ team members and be responsible for the daily operational rhythm.
Requirements
- 8+ years of management experience.
- At least 3 years managing or supervising teams in a warehouse environment.
- Experience leading from the floor and directing multiple active workflows.
- Ability to implement efficient processes, optimize workflows, and maintain standards under pressure.
- Proven ability to support operational success in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
- Skilled at coaching, mentoring, and building a collaborative, accountable team.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
- Prioritization of workplace safety and compliance with regulations.
- Effective communication skills to build strong relationships and align teams on priorities.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, in-person leadership across kitting, picking, packing, SLUs, and drivers throughout the day shift.
- Be onsite for shift handoff with the gaining and losing shifts to ensure seamless coverage and communication.
- Manage daily workflows and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Help recruit, train, and mentor team members, building a culture of growth, accountability, and engagement.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that drive efficiency and reduce waste.
- Track KPIs and make data-driven adjustments to keep the shift performing at its best.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a secure environment for all team members.
- Work closely with warehouse leadership and cross-functional partners to align on priorities.
