The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) project and includes the removal of the steam generators and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. In addition to the existing contracts for Unit 3 and Unit 4, SGRT has been awarded contracts for Unit 5, 7, and 8 for steam generator replacements as part of the Bruce Major Component Replacement project. As an Assistant Field Engineering Manager, you will have the overall responsibility for successful execution of the defined segments of work within the project, including achieving our operational goals for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost. The Assistant Field Engineering Manager will review the projects schedule, milestones, budget, commercial and technical review. With guidance from the Field Engineering Manager and Project Director, the primary responsibilities of the Assistant Field Engineering Manager include schedule development and maintenance, scope/change management, budget (hours and cost) management, organizational management (establish adequate resources to perform the work) and overall coordination of work groups (construction, safety, engineering, training, procurement, tooling, contracts management, project controls and key client stakeholders).
