About The Position

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Assistant Manager, Events & Promotions based at our Charlotte, NC location. This role will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows, customer events, dealer meetings, and promotional programs that enhance brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. The position involves managing all event logistics, overseeing event budgets, collaborating with various departments, supporting event communications, serving as the primary contact for vendors, and evaluating event performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field required
3+ years of experience in event marketing, event management, promotions, trade show coordination, or a related area
Demonstrated experience planning and executing successful trade shows, customer events, corporate meetings, and promotional programs.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events, timelines, budgets, and priorities simultaneously.
Experience coordinating vendors, negotiating services, and overseeing event logistics from planning through execution.
Ability to analyze event performance and use data and feedback to improve future programs and maximize return on investment.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build strong professional relationships.
Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders to deliver exceptional event experiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and event management, registration, or marketing platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows, customer events, dealer meetings, and promotional programs that enhance brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth.
Manage all event logistics, including venue selection, registration, travel, accommodations, shipping, catering, audiovisual support, exhibit management, and on-site execution.
Oversee event budgets, expense tracking, invoicing, and reporting to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high professional standard.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Dealer Development, National Accounts, and Executive Leadership to develop and execute impactful customer and dealer engagement strategies.
Support and drive event communications and awareness campaigns across company platforms to drive attendance, engagement, and lead generation opportunities.
Serve as the primary contact for event vendors, hotels, exhibit partners, display providers, and other third-party suppliers to ensure successful event execution.
Evaluate event performance and return on investment by tracking results, gathering feedback, and recommending improvements to enhance future events and promotional initiatives.
