About The Position
As the Assistant Deli Manager, you are the co-pilot of one of our most vibrant departments. Working side-by-side with the Deli Manager, you will blend culinary passion with operational leadership. Your mission is to engage and educate our guests on our premium products while fostering a high-energy, high-integrity team environment.
Requirements
- Self-Motivated Leaders who can multitask, think on their feet, and contribute to the store's long-term vision.
- Reliability & Integrity: A high standard of honesty and ethics in all dealings with employees, vendors, and guests.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work comfortably in a fast-paced kitchen/deli environment.
- Previous deli or food service experience is a plus, but a passion for the industry is a must.
Responsibilities
- Actively educate guests on deli products and provide legendary service that keeps the community coming back.
- Support the management of up to 10 employees, sharing responsibilities for scheduling and conducting annual performance evaluations.
- Ensure the department strictly adheres to all health and food safety regulations, leading by example in maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
- Maintain precise inventory levels and manage department products with a focus on quality and freshness.
- Demonstrate expert-level efficiency and safety when operating hazardous equipment, including slicers, mixers, and ovens.
