About The Position

Love great food, great people, and keeping a busy deli running smoothly? As our Deli Assistant Manager, you’ll help lead daily operations, support the team, and ensure high standards for food quality, safety, and customer service. We’re looking for a strong leader with experience in either Front of House (customer service/retail) or Back of House (kitchen/food production). We’re open to finding the right fit based on your experience and strengths.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
• Food service, kitchen, grocery, or retail experience
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Organized, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• A hands-on, team-first approach
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Food Handler’s Card

Nice To Haves

• Knife Safety and ServSafe certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Help lead daily Deli operations, including staffing, workflow, and production needs.
• Coach, train, and support team members while promoting accountability and a positive work environment.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
• Ensure products are prepared, stocked, rotated, and presented appropriately.
• Support either front-of-house customer service and merchandising or back-of-house food production and kitchen operations.
• Communicate and collaborate with the Deli Manager, team members, and other departments.
• Help resolve customer and operational concerns.
• Jump in wherever needed to keep the Deli running smoothly.
