About The Position

The Assistant Business Manager (ABM) serves as an entry point into the Bacon/Prepared Foods Business Unit and supports the financial and commercial performance of assigned products or categories. This role partners cross-functionally to support financial performance, inventory management, and insight generation while developing foundational business and analytical skills. This role requires a working understanding of cost structures, capacity considerations, inventory dynamics, and pricing mechanics to enable informed analysis and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing or related field
  • 1+ years relevant and practical experience
  • Foundational financial analysis and P&L understanding
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to interpret operational and supply data for business and marketing insights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to communicate analysis and findings clearly through written summaries and presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with food manufacturing or CPG marketing a plus.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tool.
  • Knowledge of Tyson internal systems such as SAP NPD Tango and PPS a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute product-level P&L analysis, identifying key drivers of volume, cost, margin, and profitability.
  • Support pricing analysis by compiling cost, margin, and competitive inputs under guidance from Finance and senior business leaders.
  • Execute low-complexity business initiatives with consistent oversight, demonstrating a foundational understanding of operational capabilities and capacity constraints.
  • Execute assigned inventory management activities with emphasis on distressed inventory mitigation and loss reduction.
  • Partner with Supply Planning and Operations to understand inventory drivers and support corrective action plans.
  • Track inventory health metrics and prepare summaries for leadership review.
  • Support pricing initiatives through data preparation, analysis, and post-implementation performance tracking.
  • Maintain pricing trackers and assist with execution workflows as assigned.
  • Develop foundational understanding of pricing processes, cost drivers, and margin implications.
  • Support insights generation through internal data and external market information.
  • Contribute to opportunity identification for growth and improvement.
  • Execute assigned marketing campaign elements and draft briefs.
