About The Position

The Assistant Manager Beverage at MGM Grand is responsible for operational functions within the department and setting the stage for guest experience. This role involves understanding guest needs to create memorable experiences. The position requires managing assigned operational functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, directing smooth and efficient operations including labor management, supervision of services, scheduling, and inventory control. It also involves managing and measuring guest service within assigned departments according to company standards and providing management support for assigned shifts to ensure quality service. The role includes coordinating the requisition and stocking of beverage outlets to maximize revenue, providing guidance to beverage employees, ensuring proper staff scheduling, and offering recommendations to management on daily operational issues.

Requirements

  • 21+ years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  • 2+ Years of prior relevant supervisory experience in beverage or an equivalent F&B supervisory position

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in food and beverage or culinary arts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department
  • Direct smooth, efficient, cost effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, scheduling and inventory control
  • Manage delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes
  • Provide management support in the oversight of assigned shift to ensure the delivery of quality service to the guests
  • Coordinate the requisition process and stocking of beverage outlets to maximize revenue for the division
  • Provide guidance and counsel to beverage employees, ensure the staff is scheduled properly
  • Provide recommendations to management on daily operational issues
