About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting the facility Maintenance Manager in various aspects of maintenance operations. Key responsibilities include compiling reports on maintenance performance, planning maintenance projects, leading EHS initiatives related to maintenance and environmental compliance, and managing the maintenance budget. The position also involves utilizing systems like SAP and KIWI to track key performance measures, managing the work order system, and coordinating predictive/preventative maintenance activities. Additionally, the role oversees inventory and parts management, supports capital project development, and may fill in for the Maintenance Manager, potentially including direct supervisory responsibility for a team of technicians.

Requirements

  • Solid Computer/System skill set is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience and/or demonstrated situational leadership skills is required.
  • Prior mechanical, electrical and/or maintenance troubleshooting experience is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively is required.
  • Willingness to work on off shift as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience utilizing SAP, KIWI and/or ePAD is highly preferred.
  • Corrugated experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with predictive/preventative maintenance programs, inventory and capital project planning is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compile reports and statistics related to key performance measures for the maintenance department.
  • Plan maintenance projects, including scheduling personnel, managing budgets, and ensuring necessary parts and documentation are available.
  • Lead Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives related to maintenance and environmental compliance, such as air permitting, storm water compliance, HAZMAT, and various inspections.
  • Manage the maintenance budget for the facility, including running and reviewing SAP reports and maintaining expenditure spreadsheets.
  • Utilize systems like KIWI and SAP to track maintenance key performance measures (e.g., mechanical/electrical downtime, reliability indices, breakdowns).
  • Manage the work order system, track work orders through completion, and compile reports on work order efficiency.
  • Conduct weekly maintenance priority meetings to plan and prioritize projects for the upcoming week.
  • Schedule predictive/preventative maintenance activities in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager and local leadership.
  • Oversee the inventory and parts management of the facility’s storeroom, including system maintenance (SAP) and inventory level management.
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager and machine champions to develop kitting processes.
  • Manage the Machine Champion Process, including monthly reviews of condition monitoring routes and backlog work orders.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in the development and management of capital projects in the ePAD system.
  • Fill in for the Maintenance Manager as needed to manage the facility maintenance department.
  • May be assigned direct supervisory responsibility for a shift or team of maintenance hourly technicians.
