About The Position

The Assistant Machine Operator will perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using Production Equipment to ensure a steady workflow and a high-quality product. This role involves conducting quality checks, leading machine crews with setups/changeovers, problem-solving machine issues, and completing necessary reports. The position is for the 2nd shift, which runs Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong safety background and good attendance record.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and be good communicator.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating corrugated printing equipment.
• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using Production Equipment to ensure steady workflow.
• Ensure a high quality product is coming off the machine.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure boxes have required dimensions and zero material defects.
• Lead machine crew with setups/change overs.
• Problem solve when issues with the machine arise.
• Complete necessary reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
