About The Position

This position assists in the operation of various machinery to produce specific products in accordance with specifications, instructions, measurements, or prototypes. A degree of skill, technique, and mechanical knowledge is required. The role may involve assignment to different types of machines as production needs dictate.

Requirements

Basic comfort with mechanical applications to become familiar with basic machine functions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
Must read and follow written instructions and add and subtract simple fractions.
Ability to work independently or in teams while maintaining a favorable working relationship with other company employees.
One (1) year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials onto or into machine by pushing, pulling, lifting, or stacking, either by hand or with equipment provided.
Move products, tools, pumps, hoses etc. to operate machines.
Inspect material during production run and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the lead operator.
Responsible for the functionality of the assigned coating station by maintaining mix level and pump pressure, rod speed and replacing filter bags as needed.
Relate with all co-workers in a congenial manner.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Always follow prescribed safety regulations.
Assist the team in cleaning machines, tools and department.
Support the Lead/Supervisor in line operations, inspection activities, and demonstrate initiative in continuous learning and skill development.
Always maintain cleanliness of the department and all equipment.
