About The Position

Viking Industries is seeking a motivated individual to fill an open 2nd shift Assistant Machine Operator position. This role involves assisting in the setup and operation of high-speed manufacturing equipment, loading raw materials, palletizing finished products, and following operator directions for machine adjustments to ensure quality production. The position also requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Viking Industries is a 3rd generation family-run business with 53 years of experience in manufacturing corrugated packaging and providing logistical solutions.

Requirements

High school degree, GED, or equivalent working experience
Good mechanical abilities with basic math skills
Ability to measure to the 16th of an inch
Willingness to work on multiple pieces of equipment
Must have the ability to adhere to policies and standards
Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

Prior printing machine experience
Prior experience working with inks and PMS/GCMU colors preferred
Experience operating a high-speed printing machine preferred

Responsibilities

Assisting in the setting up and running high speed manufacturing equipment
Load raw materials into machines
Palletize finished product for delivery
Follow Operators direction in adjusting machine parts as needed to ensure proper speed, pressure and amount of material for quality production
Cleaning high speed manufacturing equipment
Make sure the work environment remains uncluttered, clean and well-maintained to ensure safety
