About The Position

Supports the day-to-day operations of an agronomy facility, helping ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery. This role assists supervising staff, coordinating logistics for seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products, supporting inventory management with agronomy products while helping drive customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in agronomy & grain operations, ag retail, fertilizer/chemical handling, or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities during peak seasons.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain/maintain appropriate DOT medical card if required.
  • Ability to work extended hours during seasonal peaks.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher in agriculture, agronomy, business, or related field.
  • Applicator license and/or ability to obtain pesticide/fertilizer handling certifications (state-specific).
  • Experience leading teams or supervising employees.
  • CDL (Class A or B) and/or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily location operations, including product receiving, blending, loading, application scheduling, and deliveries.
  • Support excellent customer service by working with growers and internal teams to ensure accurate orders and timely fulfillment.
  • Help coordinate applicator schedules, tender operations, trucking loads and assist dispatching to meet seasonal demands.
  • Assist in supervising location employees (seasonal and full-time), including training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Promote and help serve and lead with Location Manager.
  • Step in for the Location Manager as needed.
  • Assist with inventory control of seed, fertilizer, chemical, and related supplies (receiving, storage, cycle counts, reconciliation).
  • Help maintain facility appearance and functionality, including housekeeping and organization.
  • Support maintenance and readiness of equipment such as sprayers, tenders, pumps, conveyors, application equipment.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed and reinforce company safety policies and procedures.
  • Support compliance with all applicable regulations related to fertilizer and crop protection handling, storage, and application (e.g., labeling, SDS, EPA/State requirements).
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and incident follow-up as required.
