About The Position

The Assistant Live Haul Manager helps oversee poultry transport and farm-to-plant operations, ensuring compliance with animal welfare, safety, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The role assists the Live Haul Manager with day-to-day operations, employee training, driver supervision, safety practices, maintenance monitoring, DOT compliance, and responses to farm catching and hauling issues and accidents. Other relevant duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Excellent technology, computer, math, and analytical skills.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience required.
• Current CDL, or ability to obtain a license within 1 year, required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Animal or Poultry Science or another related area of study preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Live Haul Manager in day-to-day management of operations.
• Train employees and ensure Animal Welfare Policies are enforced.
• Assist in supervising live haul drivers and ensure safe driving practices.
• Ensure team members and drivers adhere to company safety policies and practices.
• Monitor the PM Program.
• Assist in training drivers, monitoring driver hours, and ensuring DOT compliance.
• Monitor and administer the Drive-Cam System.
• Respond to farm catching and hauling issues and accidents.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
