About The Position
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Skidmore College invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track Assistant Lecturer position in Chinese beginning January 2027. This is a one semester appointment.
Requirements
- A minimum of an MA in Chinese linguistics, language pedagogy, second-language acquisition or a related field
- Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese and excellent command of English
- Evidence of experience and commitment to language teaching at all levels typically offered in U.S. universities and college
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level
Responsibilities
- Teach one 4-credit Chinese Language course in the spring 2027 semester.
