About The Position

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Assistant Lead to ensure all janitorial facility operations follow policies and procedures. They coordinate daily with operations by delegating job assignments and providing guidance. An Assistant Lead provides supervision at an assigned location when the Lead is not present. The Assistant Lead demonstrates established standards to keep the buildings/facilities clean and safe for all workers and customers. This role involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties as needed.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required

Nice To Haves

1 year of similar work experience
1-2 years of customer service experience
1-2 years of lead or supervisory experience

Responsibilities

Any additional certifications and trainings needed by site type
Follow assigned work schedules
Provides leadership, coaching and direction to team members
Provides open communication between field employees and management, monitors and documents field employee communications
Assists with filling in as needed when field employees are out as well as confirming that daily and weekly work schedules are being maintained.
Oversee and assist as needed to perform cleaning operations and inventory in various buildings
Reports damaged, broken and out of working order items
Oversee and perform additional service requests in the various buildings
Oversees quality of jobs and confirms completion with Janitorial Lead and Site Manager
Provides onboarding and training for all new hires assigned to the building in accordance with onboarding procedures.
Checks supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
