About The Position

A hospital located outside Tallahassee, Florida is seeking a temp to perm Assistant Laboratory Director to join their team. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent employment opportunity with an initial travel duration of 13-weeks. The Assistant Laboratory Director collaborates with the Director to plan, organize, and oversee Laboratory Services operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves monitoring Point-of-Care (POC) testing activities, preparing compliance reports, and providing follow-up and support to nursing departments to ensure adherence to established standards and requirements. Additionally, the Assistant Laboratory Director develops and maintains staff schedules, adjusts staffing assignments as needed to meet workload demands and operational needs, and assists with departmental in-service education, staff training, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree at minimum.
• Must have ASCP, AMT, AAB certification.
• Expertise in all clinical areas with supervisor licensures (Microbiology, Serology/Immunology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology and Immunohematology).
• Must have at least 1 year of laboratory leadership experience.
