Assistant Laboratory Director
About The Position
Hospital located near Panama City, Florida is seeking a full-time, Travel Assistant Laboratory Director to join their team! This is a 13-week contract with a temp-to-perm option. The role involves collaborating with the Director to plan, organize, and oversee Laboratory Services operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring Point-of-Care (POC) testing activities, preparing compliance reports, and providing follow-up and support to nursing departments. The position also involves developing and maintaining staff schedules, adjusting assignments as needed, and assisting with departmental in-service education, staff training, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree at minimum
- ASCP or AMT certification
- BLS certification
- At least 3 years of clinical laboratory experience in all areas
- At least 1 year of laboratory leadership experience
- Florida State license along with Supervisor licensure
Responsibilities
