About The Position

Common Man Roadside is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager for their Tru Hotel location in Manchester's historic Millyard. This role involves supporting the Kitchen Manager and their team in the overall operations and performance of the kitchen. It is a hands-on management position where the individual will work on the line, prepare food, provide training and guidance to staff, and assist customers.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 3 years culinary experience
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain relevant certifications, including ServSafe
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, squat, bend and reach
  • Must be able to lift/ carry packages up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the planning and preparation of food production
  • Ordering and inventory management
  • Daily paperwork, reporting, and logs
  • Safety and sanitation
  • Employee management, including scheduling, training, and development
  • Work on the line and prep food
  • Offer hands-on training, guidance, and development of staff
  • Assist customers
