About The Position

Carolina Ale House is seeking an energetic and skilled Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team in Myrtle Beach, SC! As the Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Kitchen Manager in overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to our valued customers. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility with work schedule including working late nights and weekends. The average number of working hours are 55 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years working in a back of house role in leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, upbeat attitude when under pressure.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering top-quality dishes.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong focus on food quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to reduce waste and control food costs.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff.
  • Place food and smallware orders as needed.
  • Perform line and prep functions alongside hourly employees.
  • Ensure the kitchen is well-organized and stocked.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards.
