About The Position

The Assistant Kitchen Manager will support the Kitchen Manager in the operations and performance of the kitchen to meet organizational objectives. This is a working management role where managers work on the line, prep food, offer hands-on training, guidance, and development of staff, and assist customers as needed.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Minimum 3 years culinary experience
• Must be able to obtain/maintain relevant certifications, including ServSafe
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to kneel, squat, bend and reach to stock shelves
• Must be able to lift/ carry packages up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the planning and preparation of food production
• Ordering and inventory management
• Daily paperwork, reporting, and logs
• Safety and sanitation
• Employee management, including scheduling, training, and development
• Work on the line and prep food
• Offer hands-on training, guidance, and development of staff
• Assist customers as needed
