After School - Assistant Instructor elementary programs
About The Position
Yogativity is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Instructor to lead our afterschool program for TK–5th grade students. This hands-on program inspires well being through fun, exploration, movement, environmental education, games, teamwork, and creative activities while fostering confidence, responsibility, leadership, and a positive mindset. Classes are hosted at schools in multiple locations around Vista. College students, parents, and grandparents are invited to apply. Paid training is provided for all programs. We will provide daily curriculum, plans, games and materials for each class. Students are grouped by grade levels with class sizes maximum 20 students to two Yogativity staff working as a team.
Requirements
- Experience working with groups of kids
- College students, teachers, TAs, retirees, parents, are encouraged to apply
- Effective group management skills
- Energetic, kind, and patient personality
- Punctual and reliable, with access to a reliable form of transportation
- Experience working with youth in an educational, recreational, or after-school setting
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable leading groups of students and managing classroom behavior
- Ability to pass a company instructional assessment
- Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
