About The Position

Renewal by Andersen is seeking an Assistant Installation Manager to lead from the front, support installers, solve problems, and build a culture of quality, accountability, and excellence. This role is ideal for an experienced installer, crew lead, foreman, or construction professional ready for leadership. The Assistant Installation Manager will work closely with the Installation Manager, gaining experience in team development, operational leadership, customer satisfaction, and business management. The position requires a passion for quality craftsmanship, developing people, and creating great customer experiences.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of installation, construction, remodeling, or related industry experience
  • Experience as a Lead Installer, Crew Lead, Foreman, or similar leadership role
  • Knowledge of residential window and door installation practices
  • Strong understanding of job-site safety requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technology
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Lead Renovator Certification (RRP)
  • Experience managing subcontractor relationships

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating daily installation schedules and field activities.
  • Conduct job-site visits to monitor quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide technical support.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet company expectations.
  • Provide hands-on assistance when needed.
  • Conduct homeowner walkthroughs and project follow-ups.
  • Address homeowner questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Help ensure every customer receives a positive, memorable experience.
  • Partner with teams to reduce warranty issues and improve satisfaction scores.
  • Support onboarding and training efforts for new installers.
  • Provide coaching on installation best practices and quality standards.
  • Help subcontractors improve performance and efficiency.
  • Build strong working relationships with installation crews and field teams.
  • Lead by example and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Conduct job-site safety observations.
  • Reinforce company safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Support safety training and documentation efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and installation quality.
  • Support initiatives that reduce callbacks and warranty claims.
  • Monitor installation performance and quality metrics.
  • Partner with Operations, Warehouse, and Project Management teams to keep projects running smoothly.
