Requirements

One year of experience as a Highway Maintenance Coordinator, Roadway Programs Coordinator, or Transportation Construction Manager 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Six years of technical experience in highway maintenance, highway construction, or maintenance of heavy equipment used in highway construction projects
An equivalent combination of experience and training
Possession of a valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent
Meet the PA residency requirement
Able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

Develop programs, estimates, and plans for road and bridge maintenance and seasonal operations
Oversee general and specialized crews performing maintenance activities and minor construction projects
Review requests for materials, personnel, and equipment and recommend appropriate actions
Manage agreements with local partners and ensure services are exchanged fairly and effectively
Direct incident and emergency response activities for the assigned county area
Conduct inspections, assess performance, and prepare reports and correspondence related to maintenance operations
