Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Receive, analyze, process, and file health information, ensuring completeness, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Audit the accuracy of electronic and manual data entry and promptly facilitate the resolution of any discrepancies.
• Process requests for the release of health information in strict accordance with regulatory requirements, notifying physicians and other appropriate parties when applicable.
• Perform clerical and technical duties that support the coding processes.
• Assist with general clerical duties to maintain a smooth and efficient operational flow.
