About The Position
The key function of the Assistant Gym Manager will be to help the Gym Manager run the day-to-day operations of the club. The Assistant Gym Manager will be an active participant of the team and will play a key part in creating a great place to work – and workout – for the team throughout the entire gym & the members of PureGym.
Requirements
- Proven leadership ability in a fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and personable
- Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry
- Ability to successfully obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Deliver an excellent member experience in the club through a constant focus on service and standards, alongside the Gym Manager
- Assist the Gym Manager in recruitment of Personal Trainers and Gym Floor Associates and work with the Gym Manager to help onboard all new team members.
- Interview, hire and develop all new members of the team to ensure they have a great onboarding experience.
- Maintain our levels for cleanliness and organization of all areas in the gym.
- Ensure the safety of Members, Guests and Team at all times.
