Childcare: Before School and After School Care Baden Academy Charter School (6:30AM-8:30AM and 2:30PM-6:15PM)
About The Position
The Beaver County YMCA is seeking qualified individuals for the Baden Academy Before & After School Program. This part-time position is ideal for recent high school graduates, local college students, or individuals seeking supplemental income. The role operates on a 10-month calendar, aligning with the Baden Academy school year. The Before School Program runs from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM, and the After School Program runs from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. While working both shifts daily is not mandatory, staff are expected to be available for three shifts per week across both programs.
Requirements
- A high school diploma
- Must be able to pass a state and federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- A general educational development certificate and thirty (30) credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field.
- A general educational development certificate, including six hundred (600) or more hours of secondary training described in (PA Code) 3270.319 (relating to age and training).
- A general education development certificate, fifteen (15) credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year experience with children.
- A general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum described in 3270.31. (PA Code)
- A general education development certificate and 2 years' experience with children.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of all classroom activities (such as gross motor games and exciting art activities)
- Being responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary.
