As an Assistant Grocery Department Manager, you will help oversee daily operations, drive sales and profitability, and ensure high standards for in-stock conditions, pricing, and merchandising. - Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable attendance
- Compliance with company safety policies and Code of Business Conduct
Responsibilities
- Help oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness
- Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front-faced, and merchandised to company standards
- Assist with executing planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising
- Assist with managing orders, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization
- Assist with monitoring shrink and implementing procedures to reduce waste and loss
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards
- Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and developing grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment
- Perform Grocery Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Grocery Manager
